香港科技大学（广州）的生物启发工程中央实验室（BIO-IERF）位于校内W1 1L，是为前沿仿生飞行器和水下潜航器的研发及空气动力学和流体力学的研究而设立的中央研究平台。实验室拥有一座先进低湍流度循环风洞和一座多功能低湍流度循环水洞/水槽，提供可靠的基础流体力学实验平台。同时，实验室配备高频三维三分量粒子图像测速仪（3D3C PIV）、彩色高速相机、红外高速相机等先进光学测量设备和六分量天平等精密力学测量设备，为实验提供丰富的测量手段。生物启发工程中央实验室致力于为校内外的学生、教授和相关人员提供优质完善的仿生系统及流体力学的教学、科研和实验服务。

Bio-Inspired Engineering Research Facility (BIO-IERF) is a central facility intensively serving academic researchers and postgraduate students in HKUST-GZ for the development of bionic air and underwater vehicles and research of relative aerodynamics and fluid dynamics. An advanced low-turbulence wind tunnel and a multifunctional water tunnel provide a reliable fundamental experiment environment with state-of-the-art fluid optical and mechanical measuring instruments. High-performance bionic air and underwater vehicles expect to be born here soon.
